99.9% Pure Metal (usually Gold or Silver but may be Platinum)

14K

58.3% Pure Metal (usually Gold or Silver but may be Platinum)

10K

42% Pure Metal (usually Gold or Silver but may be Platinum)

PLAT

950 is a stamp for Platinum. Platinum may also be stamped with the word Plat.

925

Sterling silver is usually stamped 925 for .925 Silver content. Sterling silver is also made with .950 silver content and is then stamped 950.

Conversion formulas:

To convert inches to millimeters: multiply the inches by 25.4 eg 1 inch = 25.4 mm

To convert millimeters to inches: multiply the mm by 0.04. ie 1 mm = 0.04 inches
